These two buttons are part of the original tablet hardware used to build the IDEM clock. Technically, they are volume control buttons on a standard tablet.

However, in the case of the IDEM clock, these buttons are not functional. While the product is based on a tablet, it has been fully reprogrammed to operate as a calendar clock. That’s why those buttons have been disabled and don’t serve any purpose in the context of the clock.
