User Roles and Permissions in the Idem Companion AppUpdated 4 months ago

Idem offers three different user roles, each with specific permissions:

• Main User

  • Has full control over the devices, including:
    • Managing users
    • Modifying settings
    • Resetting devices
  • Only one Main User is allowed per clock.
    

• Invited User

  • Can perform most actions except:
    • Resetting devices
    • Managing subscriptions

• Limited User

  • Can view devices and send communications to the clock
  • Can change settings
  • Cannot manage users
  • Ideal for users who only need to send messages to the clock

List of permissions according to user role

If you’d like to change the Main User, the current Main User must follow these steps:

1. Open the Idem Companion App

2. Under the clock's name, tap "Users"

3. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap "Transfer Ownership"

4. Select the new Main User from the dropdown list, then tap "Transfer"
