In Which Countries Is the Mobile App Available?Updated 2 months ago
While we would sincerely like to make Idem available internationally, and this remains part of our long-term expansion plans, the mobile app is currently available only through the app stores in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Ireland, France, Australia, and New Zealand.
Once the app has been downloaded, it can be used seamlessly from anywhere in the world.
What matters is not your physical location at the time of download, but the country associated with your Apple or Google account. Your store account must be linked to a physical address in one of the supported countries to download the app.
However, there are unofficial work-arounds for customers whose app store is in other countries:
If using an Apple device (iPhone, iPad):
Simply change the location in the settings of the mobile device to a supported country, download the Idem companion app, then switch back the location to your original location.
If using Android, it's more complicated.
You need a Google account associated with a physical address in a supported country. This address can only be changed once every 12 months, so be careful modifying this for your main Google account. Our suggestion would be to create a new Google account linked to an address in a supported country, connect to this account via your Play Store, then download the Idem companion app. Once it has been downloaded, your can switch back to their original Google account in the Play Store.
