How to Invite Another User in the Idem Companion AppUpdated 2 months ago

The Idem Companion App is designed to support collaborative caregiving by allowing multiple users to access and manage communications sent to the Idem Smart Clock. This feature ensures that caregiving responsibilities can be shared effectively among family members and caregivers.

Key Features:

  • Unlimited Users: There is no limit to the number of users who can be added to the app, facilitating a robust support network.
  • Coordinated Care: Multiple caregivers can schedule reminders, send messages, and manage events, ensuring consistent and coordinated support for your loved one.

How to Add Additional Caregivers:

  1. Invite via the App:

    • Open the Idem Companion App on your device.
    • Navigate to the "Users" section under the clock name
    • Select "Invite User"
    • Enter the email address or phone number of the person you wish to invite 
    • Select the Role: 
      • Invited User: Can manage users, all communications and clock preferences.
      • Limited User: Can see all communications, but cannot modify them unless created by them. Can change clock preferences
    • Click "Send invite"
  2. Acceptance:

    • The invited caregiver will receive an email or SMS with instructions to download the app and create an account.
    • Once registered, they will have access to the Idem Smart Clock's management features.

Additional Tips:

  • Set Permissions: Assign specific roles or permissions to each caregiver to manage access levels appropriately.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with all caregivers to ensure alignment in caregiving activities and responsibilities.
